Spare Room Makeover

The spare room makeover was the very first work we did on this house. In retrospect, we made loads of mistakes (today I would have the space re-skimmed rather than relying on lining paper) but learned a lot about what we could do ourselves to transform a space.

The Key To An Easy Spare Room Makeover

If you find yourself in a new home – or just tackling a room for the first time – and aren’t sure on what look you want, I highly recommend painting the whole thing white. You might not stick with it long-term, but it’s economical (buy big buckets of trade white matte laminate paint) and will instantly freshen and modernise a space – especially one with stained walls and shabby gloss work…

That’s exactly what we did for this quick, budget spare room makeover.
